Why the cheapest quote may not be the cheapest final project
Missing preparation, provisional sums, excluded waste, different material specifications or unclear VAT treatment can make a low headline price rise later. A higher quote can also be inefficient, so the correct response is to compare the written scope and ask for itemisation where the difference is large.
